Step 1: Cut the Meat

How to Cut the meatThe first job you have to do here is to take the piece of steak in your hand. Making sure that it properly cuts the steak piece is also necessary. The thickness of the steak will make it juicier. You might worry that someone cannot properly cook thick steak pieces in a frying pan.

But trust us, if you know how to cook a thick steak in a frying pan properly, there’s no going back! Getting a boneless piece of meat for a 1—to 1.5-inch thick steak is always better. The thickness and length also depend on the frying pan you use.

If you get the 12-inch frying pan, you can cook steak of any thickness. And for the meat, the 1.5-inch thickness is just the right size! Sometimes, get something thinner, as some people like thinner steaks, too! Go for your preferred thickness in such situations.

Step 2: Marinating the Steak

If you do not have a thermometer, you can use your finger to determine whether your steak is cooked correctly.

First, touch the middle finger to the thumb, and then, with the right hand, poke the fleshy spot underneath the thumb. If you are left-handed, use your left hand. With the same finger, poke the steak now. If the feeling is the same, understand that your steak is medium rare.

For a medium steak, use the ring finger and touch it to the thumb; for a rare steak, use the index finger with the thumb. If you want a well-done steak, rely on the pinkie finger, touch it to the thumb, and apply the same process. When you feel the steak, compare the feeling; if it’s the same, your steak is well-done!

Step 7: Serve the Steak
